We’re excited to spotlight our collaboration with Express Business Center (EBC) on their expansion project. Our goal was to create a larger, purpose-driven space that could accommodate the rapid growth of EBC’s printing, promotional, and business service divisions. Below is the full article from Lehigh Valley Business detailing this exciting venture.

SAGE Design-Build Inc. of Upper Macungie Township is completing a construction project for Express Business Center, which would create a new space for the company.

SAGE, the general contractor for the project, broke ground in the fall and plans to complete it in January 2020.

Once the project is complete, all three of EBC’s divisions – commercial printing and signs, promotional products, and business services, will move from a retail spot in a strip mall at 6900 Hamilton Blvd. in the Trexlertown section of Lower Macungie Township to a nearby site EBC bought at 6900 Hamilton Blvd.

The construction project is a complete renovation of an existing vacant building, actually a series of buildings that were tied together at one point, Landrigan said.

The new 5,400-square-foot site is a stand-alone building and almost two times the size of the current space, Landrigan said. The current space is about 2,500 square feet.

“Space is an issue,” Landrigan said. “Walking through their existing space, they are bursting at the seams. It made sense for them to make this move, certainly from a production standpoint. I know they have a new press coming in for it.”

Murtaza and Mustafa Jaffer founded EBC Printing in 2010 as an expansion from their main business Express Business Center, which the two brothers started in 2002.

The growth of EBC’s three sectors – Express Business Center, EBC Promo, and EBC Printing, prompted the need for new space, said Murtaza Jaffer.

“We needed a larger production area,” Jaffer said. “Our employees are real excited to have more room for our clients, better work ow.”

The company now has 16 employees and plans to be operational in the new space by April or May 2020.

Jaffer also sees benefits to owning rather than leasing space.

The brothers are financing the mortgage for the property with Fulton Bank.

“Now we are getting an opportunity to own our own facility,” Jaffer said. “Before we were leasing. There are many benefits; down the road, you can own your own property.”
