I really like SAGE’s work but am still early in the process of planning my next project, when should I reach out to SAGE?
It’s never too early to start working together. We consult on projects even in initial pre-planning stages. In fact, many of our previous clients benefited from our integrated expertise when envisioning their organization’s next steps. We’ve helped clients identify land and buildings properly suited for their business’ needs, given feasibility analysis for decision making amongst multiple properties, and provided insights on recommended budgets and how our team might outfit them for the clients’ next endeavor.
I have already hired an architect to design my project, will SAGE still build and manage the construction?
Yes! While we specialize in Design-Build, we’ve proudly led dozens of projects to completion designed by other architects. In this case, SAGE would best support your organization within our Construction Management model through consulting or at-risk management. We are first and foremost a construction management company, and are in the business to build your building.SAGE would best support your organization within our Construction Management model. Nonetheless, our experience in design will ensure the vision laid out in those plans come to fruition with nothing getting lost in translation on through our management of your build.
What type of projects builds do you all specialize in?
Whether new construction, fit out, renovation of existing or adaptive reuse, we specialize in all things commercial across a range of industries. Visit our projects pages for examples of previous work.
What is the difference between a General Contractor (GC) and a Construction Manager (CM)?
The primary difference between each is the role they play in your project. A general contractor mainly handles the actual construction work, whereas a construction manager concentrates on planning and coordinating the entire project. We’ve found that a CM is actually more cost effective for their ability optimize time and efficiency. As Construction Managers, we hire people who specialize in each trade with the right size crew and schedule for your project.
How do you ensure jobsite safety and logistics?
We build specific quality control plans into our process as a part of The SAGE Experience. We work with your broader team to understand daily operations of both you and your neighbors, and implement safety and logistic procedures in everything we do. Each project, site, and client presents unique safety needs. With this in mind, we manage background checks, child clearances, PPE and extra precaution around volatile materials based on the particularities of each partnership.
Are you accepting new subcontractors?
We pride ourselves in bringing together the most capable contractors for each projects needs which includes continually developing relationships with trade partners. Register your interest in working with us by reaching out to Director of Construction, Tyler Troutman, at ttroutman@sagedbi.com
