Founded by a Passion for Problem-Solving
Since our inception in 2009, we have consistently transformed client visions into reality by embracing projects that defy conventional categories. Our founder, Joe Landrigan, realized that client projects most benefitted from the critical cross-section of design and construction. Outside of his then full-time job at a leading national design firm, he began to leverage this intersection of his expertise to provide what we now call Design-Build services. Joe’s passion for design and construction drove him to become licensed as an architect in 2013 furthering his understanding of the design world. Understanding how each design element drives cost and budget, and knowing that there are alternate ways of achieving the same goals. Each design component driving cost, and being able to redirect the design and budget to coincide. Identifying this gap in the build market, SAGE grew. By 2013, we secured pivotal projects which laid the foundation for our growth.
As we progressed, our ventures into new markets and consulting work flourished. By 2015, SAGE had entered the healthcare sector with projects for the Lehigh Valley’s major health networks, in addition to out of the box projects including entertainment destinations. The subsequent years saw continued expansion and repeat business from valued clients. Our portfolio grew, as did our team, with key hires that bolstered our ability to take on a variety of new and exciting projects. We have restored historic buildings, built one of the Lehigh Valley’s upcoming premier entertainment destinations, and outfitted busy workspaces of some of the region’s most well-respected corporate offices. Our approach to problem-solving and creative thinking has allowed us to tackle the variety of projects that come our way, and our love for historic buildings has evolved into a recognized expertise of all things commercial.
Looking to the future, SAGE is poised for further growth, welcoming new team members and moving to a new office in Macungie. Joe Landrigan, founder and president of SAGE Design-Build, Inc., brings over 35 years of experience to the commercial construction industry. As a licensed Architect and LEED Accredited Professional, Joe seamlessly integrates design and construction services, ensuring each project receives a personal touch and delivers maximum client value. His commitment to excellence is evident in projects ranging from modest improvements to expansive $100 million ventures across the United States, Europe, and Japan.
Joe’s expertise is recognized beyond his professional endeavors, as he serves on the Board of Trustees for both The Moravian Academy and the LifePath Foundation. With a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, Joe’s holistic approach to project management fosters successful partnerships with clients, underlining his dedication to innovation and sustainability in every project.
A hands-on, experienced leader, Joe takes pride in working closely with each client and the team assigned to their build.
